OK just about half of October is gone but here in
Tennessee it still feels and looks like Summer!
Lack of water has ruined our fall
colors and browned most of the yards.

TWO NEW DAWGS...
A flying (yep from the floor to the ceiling and back in a blink)
wonderful beagle and a sick (heart worms..but after a hospital stay and
enough money to by a very USED truck she here) but according to
my vet a recovering lab are now members of the pack.
These are first day home pictures and I will add more later.
The lab has to be kept very quiet for a full month so she is in
a crate and goes out without the other kids. So far though she is
doing great. The vet says a group picture will have to be
put on hold for a month due to her heart problem but I will get
more individuals of her later.
SO FAR the Lab has NO name.
A Cuz in Co suggested TAZ for the Beagle and it is a great
fit!

A weekend of REUNIONS!
The famed KIDD reunion was held at Kidd Springs on Sunday the 24th and on
Saturday members of the Maryville High School class of 1966 gathered to
enjoy summer at a great home in the mountains. For pictures of the
MHS Class of 66 gathering click here.

Kroger turn left on Broadway and less than a block on your left is Southland BOOKS! FREE PARKING in front and beside the store.
Southland Books has been a jewel in good old Blount County’s crown for years and now they have moved into a building big enough for all their books, records, stain glass shop, gourmet coffee area and stage for live concerts.
The music area in Southland Books is reminiscent of some of the finer listening rooms in Nashville. You are almost on stage and if you get there early you can nail a coveted place on one of the couches!
This is your chance to see the Mountain Folk Reunion band so close you can smell their Jade East and Old Spice! Come on it is free…fun…and in a heck of a cool bookstore! See you THIS Saturday at 6 p.m.
