SUMMER!

June 1, 2010 and we just got home from a long weekend in the Mountains.
A cabin in Laurel Valley was our base camp and the weather was typical...rain...hot...fog...beautiful skies...and cool nights.

On our second day of golf we moved two turtles from two fairways, saw a beaver,
a young raccoon and a flock of wild Turkeys. Leaving this afternoon we found a very young turtle in the middle of the road with a cracked shell and an injured leg. It looked like a dog had picked him or her up. He or she was moved from the road to a wet area and we all wished he or she well as we came home.

Here are some pictures from the trip.

LONG TIME NO POSTS!

In the beginning this was going to be a place
to drop off Southern thoughts and pictures.
Looks like it still is!

Lets update this bad boy a tad..welcome to
2010.

How in the world have you been?
Us? Oh brother we had SNOW this winter in
East Tennessee, something we just don't understand
or allow!
Little River (yep the same one that starts up high
in the Smoky Mountains) was colder than a
lawyer's heart this winter.
Taz our WONDER BEAGLE had
zero use for the cold or the snow
>

We lost most of the old fence in a wind storm
last March and the new one did just fine over the
winter

Lots more pictures and thoughts to post...stay tuned!
